Membership Fees
Annual Membership Fee Structure for 2023-24
Annual Swimming Club membership runs from 1 October to 30 September each year.
There are three types of swimmer membership:
- Recreational – for swimmers who do not wish to compete beyond GCS club nights. Membership can be upgraded to a competitive membership at any time during the year.
- Competitive – for swimmers in all squads who wish to participate in all levels of meets from development meets to national meets.
- Dry – for parents, coaches, officials, and committee members. A dry membership is required by at least one parent in families with competitive swimmers under 18.
The annual membership fee is made up of two components:
- Association component (Swimming Australia/Swimming NSW/Swimming ACT) set by each association (includes insurance coverage for training and meets, depending on the membership type), paid for each swimmer in Swim Central; and
- Annual Club component: set by the Club (the financial component that contributes to the ongoing costs of the swim club) paid per family and invoiced by the GSC Treasurer.
The tables below set out the components for each membership type and how they are paid.
Where a family has both recreational and competitive swimmers, the competitive GSC Club membership fee applies.
